Hi, just trying to keep my ID stuff going. Its a constant balance between that, enviros and characters. So yeah I love wipeout....alot. I believe it really formed my design tastes when I was young. So I decided to try some anti-grav ships with some stylistic colour. Hope ya like em. I also recorded the detailing stage of the lower one.

So heres something a bit different. I was playing around with brushes and just thought I'd resolve the shapes a bit more. I know its a bit weird but hopefully you'll find it visually interesting? Flipping and rotating the canvas did some nice things too so I included them too.

Just some thumbnails for yas. Realised I really needed to go right back to basics. Was getting frustrated with what I've been producing latley, so had a read of alla prima by richard schmid (everyone should have that book!) and then did these quickies. Hope you like em, i plan to do more.

Hi, heres a pretty dodgy enviro speedpaint for the evenin. I really need to get some good enviros going. Amongst the billion other things @_@
I've been experimenting with getting the indicated detail into shapes and looking at ways to soften edges to add some atmosphere. I'm a waaay off yet, but I'm liking the results so far. And by all means, tell me if you think this is shite! :D

Hey all. Heres a just finished image. It was born of the frustration I'm having of trying to render up a line drawing. I just cant seem to do it at all. I either do a dedicated line drawing, or a painterly mass'ed in image like this one. I may just have to keep them separate! If anyone's got any tips I'd be grateful.

OK! so its bank holiday monday and I'm bored to tears. So I thought i'd find something to do. I've been slowly trying to work out painterly looking techniques for a while now. And theres way more to it than just custom brushes! Heres some attempts I did yesterday and today. Sorry about the bad drawing, I think once I understand the technique better, I can focus on what I'm actually drawing.
Theres Al Simmons, Batman, and some detective guy.

Ok so I've been really meaning to do more personal work, but I started working at Crytek recently. So most of my time has been spent moving and getting setup again. Thought I'd get back into with some vehicle sketching.

/update3 Yeah so I killed it dead. If i keep going i'll just be working it further into the ground. I'll cut my losses and try work out my structures more next time.
Ok, heres another dude from Nation, pretty generic, but I'm just trying to explore the visual direction of it. So anything goes right now :)
Also, some essential links!

Sorry for the lack of updates. I've got no internet at the moment, but hopefully when that gets sorted I can get back into my personal stuff. This guy is for my personal never-ending project called Nation. I'm really trying to get a decent lineart to painting workflow going. I hope to spend some more time on this guy. So any suggestions are very welcome!
